Pescaterian Review: Blackened Salmon on a Garden Salad.
Looking for a chill spot to sip and eat downtown on a gorgeous summer day? Natty Greens’s is it. Sunday I swung by there to whine down from the week and to soak in the gorgeous weather. Natty’s is one of those spots that you can go to tuck away for a little bit. It’s also a cool spot to visit if you want to sit outside and listen to the sounds of the city.
Question: How was the food?
Here’s the thing pescaterians, sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bland. I come here for their salad options because you can choose what ever salad combo that you want, and then add a protein. I gave the garden salad a try a few times and from top to bottom, it lacks flavor. The garden salad consist of: A house mix with tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and sunflower seeds. I added the Salmon and asked for it blackened to get a better taste.
It didn’t taste bad but for someone like me who has soul food taste buds, it still lacked a lot of flavor. I honestly think it was due to the combination of the garden salad because when I ordered the blackened salmon on the Cardinal it was delicious! Imagine spinach, goat cheese, red onions, a piece of salmon drizzled with lemon vinaigrette and topped with strawberries. Yes, it was like that.
The wine was straight. The riesling that I ordered tasted more like a moscato but it had a nice apple aftertaste. And I had two glasses that day so it served it’s purpose!
